Our Mission

We are on this journey with you. At A Gifted Journey, we understand that no two families are alike, and no two children are on the same path. Family comes first — in every decision we make, every plan we build, and every session we deliver.

We understand the importance of meeting a child where they are at this moment. Every person we come in contact with is at a different part of their journey. We strive to educate you on the most effective ways to increase quality of life using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Our experienced ABA professionals are dedicated to understanding your child's needs and fostering a learning environment built on trust, transparency, and compassion. We work closely with parents, siblings, teachers, and caregivers to create a circle of support around every child.

Our purpose is to provide compassionate care while using ABA strategies and interventions to help your child reach their goals.

Jelisia Thompson

Founder / Owner / BCBA

Jelisia Thompson is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in the great state of Texas with over 8 years of experience working with children diagnosed with ASD and other developmental disabilities. She founded A Gifted Journey to create a practice where family comes first — always.

Her passion is helping every child reach their full potential through individualized, evidence-based ABA therapy. She works directly with families to understand their child's unique needs and foster a learning environment where children can thrive.

Throughout her journey she has supported families, teachers, paraprofessionals, daycare workers, and professionals seeking to understand Applied Behavior Analysis and how it can transform lives.
